guide or documentation on how to create a simple configurable product in CRM using the product modeling engine

i'm really struggling to find some examples on how to create such a product in CRM. It has nothing to do with VC in ECC !! Especially, i don't understand why the sales bom & sales bom explosion is not supported when using a configurable product in CRM !! How to get a similar (basic) feature in CRM ??

Any kind of help/document would be really appreciated

The use of each field is well explained. Yet, there is nothing about how to use the tool and no examples ... There is no training available on this topic as well : PLM145 is on VC ...

Another point : the system setup is fine (7.0 ehp2) : i'm able to create product models & "simulate" them using IPC UI.

is there somebody using this tool ??
